Reviews and Ramblings

For the last two years I've been keeping a log of
everything I read. it's been part of an attempt to
see if the three foot high pile of novels 'to read'
is too optimistic. On reflection, it probably is.
I'll post mini-reviews and comments on both books and
films on the sub-pages in this section. Totally
biased ones.
Music

Musical tastes are always scary things to reveal. I
can remember the ridicule admitting to liking the
wrong group would get me as a kid... However, I've
always gone my own way with music, and have to
confess to a distinct liking for prog-rock, goth and
some of the more electronic stuff like Massive Attack
and Faithless.
However, the first group I seriously got into I still love, and if anything, they get better with age. The last album, Marbles, was a tour-de-force which only suffered from the fact that they are deeply unfashionable. Play the tracks without the name, and they'd be applauded by pundits as the new Radiohead. If this intrigues you, 'find a better way of life' here.

I read reasonably widely, although SF and Fantasy
tend to dominate. Posts following will describe what
I have been reading, and whether I'd recommend it to
you!
