Letters from the Second World War:
Two Brothers from Liverpool.
The two pages linked here have some letters from my family
history. They are two letters between my grandfather Syd
and his brother Fred, written during the Second World War.
Fred eventually settled in Australia, but Syd remained in
their hometown of Liverpool, working in the Docks.
The letters are only one half of a conversation during the
war – Fred's letter's to Syd, which he cherished.
Fred was working in the merchant navy for the Moller Line,
and Syd had joined up – from his protected role
– in the Eighth Army, the Desert Rats.
